Hi! I’m Meredith Burke. And here’s to writing an ‘about me’ page without it sounding daft, unitelligent, boring or just plain self-obsessed.

I live in Perth, Western Australia with my incredibly amazing husband, Miles, and our two gorgeous offspring Davis and Leia.

I am a tactile type girl. I love all things bright, sparkley, warm, furry, smooth, colourful, smelly, messy, noisy, earthy…you get the picture.

Things that fall under these description include my passion for making unique jewellery, creating messy mudpies with the kids in the backyard, changing the colours and textures of things in our house constantly, (yes, this does drive said husband nuts), cooking, running around in the sunshine acting like a lunatic, (kids are great for this, no one looks at you weirdly anymore), Flamenco dancing and music and trying to remain a sane, well balanced wife/friend/mum/person.

I feel very lucky to have experienced two things in my life. The first is meeting and marrying Miles. He is the underground roots to my tree, (ok, kinda corny), the warmth in my milo, and the brains to my brain, (because once again honestly, I currently have few).

The secound was the awe inspiring experience of having children. They have changed the way I look at life, love and all the stuff in between. Their unconditional love, (I never knew what this meant till having my own offspring) is forgiving and the greatest soul food I know.

My life is about attempting to keep balance, having fun whether it’s a beach holiday or doing the food shopping with the three year old, and treasuring the really important things…the people in my life.
