I didn’t get sidetracked

There’s something to be said for realising at 3pm that you haven’t really finished one of the things that you started today.

I was full of good intentions and hopes this morning. I was going to clean to house. I was going to do all the washing. Vacuming and mopping the house was also achievable. A trip to the supermarket was going to be a breeze (I forgot the list!).

I figured that I could arrange the files of bills alphabetically. Perhaps even a trip to OfficeWorks to buy more files and dividers.

It was all within my reach.

I could also bake a carrot cake! After Miss Four showed me a picture of one in a kids book, I could smell it! I need a new recipe for it, thats ok, I can Google it while helping Master Seven hunt through ABC Kids online.

I still need to finish making the bed. The xmas tree is half down. I’m sure I can get the shopping put away and the clean clothes folded while hanging out the wet ones. It’s only 3.05. I’ve only spent 5 minutes here. Although I do need to find a photo for the post. Perhaps I can get the ones of the camera and photoshop them while I start of the cake.

I might have to start thinking about dinner while I’m putting the citrus fertiliser under the five citrus trees we have. I could also bring in the dry washing while I’m watering it in.

I’m not the kid of person to get sidetracked. This is not a normal day. Really.

Nearly 7pm at my house… still time to bring in the washing, hang out another load, do an extra hour of book keeping, relax in front of the TV, read some of my library book… and possibly write a blog post of my very own.

my 11 yr old son is severly dyspraxic and, so too now, is my life, but the chaos is a great thing because time to dwell can be crippling!!
