Next week I will be packing up all my jewellery to date and delivery it all to some coolo Galleries for the Xmas rush.

So I’m taking this opportunity to change my focus on my work. I’m aiming for a more ‘vintage’ look and I’ve even changed my photographic style for the new pieces (see above).

I can’t wait to get started! Now…where did I put that caffeine?

Photos taken Sep 2004 - Busselton Western Australia

The above photos were taken on a family holiday to Busselton. It was cold, windy but the best holiday ever.

This year I get my summer holiday at Albany, just after Xmas. And we’re going for an entire week!

I get to play on the beach for *hours*…and *hours*. We get to watch whales from the balcony of the holiday house we (finally) managed to get. Note to self, plan accomodation of next holiday six months in advance.

I’m looking forward to taking every single board game we own (kids are getting a few for Xmas for our pleasure), having a glass of wine (anywhere), spending loads of quiet time with hubby, making sandcastles with kids, ignoring the kids grizzling coz I’ll be on holidays and it wont matter, having late nights (around 9:30pm should just about do it) and getting out of my comfort zone and ENJOYING EVERY MINUTE OF IT (honey).

And taking some great family photos like the ones above that just melt my heart every time I see them, even 3 years later.

Sunday lunch was on a farm, down by the stream on a rustic and large wooden table.

The weather was perfect, the wine chilled to perfection, stacks of food and the company great.

The kids chased the sheep and played with a neighbour’s kid, (no sheep were harmed during our stay), while the ‘adults’, (don’t know about you but I still feel like a kid wandering through life), conducted quality control tests on the picnic fare.

It was a really lovely day and almost makes me want to move bush - or at least have a holiday house, (now…where did I stash that spare million?).

Congratulations to my Father In Law, Dr Andrew Burke, for aquiring his PhD.

I hear they take all sorts of bribes these days.
